Scott Marburger is a husband, father of 3 sons, active community member and church volunteer all right here in Mansfield, TX. Both his parents are retired educators and his wife is a 20 year educator with 13 of those years at Mansfield Timberview High School. From the moment Scott moved to Mansfield in 2005, he has involved himself in supporting the community he loves.
Scott and his wife are members of Creekwood Church. There they volunteer in different ministries, but their passion lies in hosting Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (FPU) classes. Since 2007, Scott and his wife have led over 125 households through the program. During this time, Scott has transitioned from a corporate job to a stay-at-home father with a small business. Then in 2011, he became a financial adviser for Edward Jones.
Scott has been involved in various organizations in Mansfield and has held leadership positions in most of them. In 2014, he had the privilege to participate in Leadership Mansfield. He has also been involved in several Toastmasters clubs, the Metroplex Business Associates (MBA), Rotary, and the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce. Last year, Scott was awarded the 2015 Chamber Ambassador of the Year. Scott has also been a volunteer in the Martha Reid Elementary Watch D.O.G.S. Volunteer program since it began 4 years ago.
Scott wants to serve on the Mansfield ISD School Board to help capitalize on what is working and identify areas for improvement. Not only can he represent the needs of the parents first hand, but he understands the needs of the educators tasked to operate within the guidelines the MISD school board designs.
